LAURA R. TUSCHEN, age 100, died December 18, 2016 in Sun Prairie, Wisc. Daughter of Daniel and Mary (Laverty) McGraw, she graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1934 and St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Madison in 1937. Laura worked as a registered nurse for three years until her marriage to Robert M. Tuschen on November 30, 1940. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1957 in Phoenix, Ariz. Laura raised her family and worked as a nurse in Sun Prairie doctors' offices. She is survived by her five children: Tom and his wife Priscilla, Naples, Fla.; Mary Myers, Seattle, Wash.; Jim and his wife Vicki, Rockford, Ill.; Roberta, Sun Prairie; and Larry and his wife Winifred, Tequesta, Fla.; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor (Ray) Gevelinger, Dodgeville; and 2 sisters-in-law, Lois (Paul) McGraw and Marilyn Reininger.
Laura was a much-loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had many nieces and nephews that she greatly enjoyed. Last summer, Laura's entire family celebrated her 100th birthday. It was a great and, now clearly timely, party. Laura will be missed.
