Esther M. Speropulos, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her home in Sun Prairie. She was born on October 8, 1928 to John and Victoria (Koniak) Stromski in Benald, Illinois. She attended St. Bernard's Catholic School from 2nd through 8th grade. Esther graduated from Madison East High School. She married John Speropulos on October 30, 1947 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison and recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband John; 6 children Alan Speropulos (Nancy Motisi) of Madison, Karen Moon of Marshall, Carolyn (Rick) Griffin of Cambridge, Joan (Kent) Sutkay of Burlington, Jayne (Mark) Vivian of Fitchburg, WI, Mike (Marilyn) Speropulos of Trinity ,FL; 17 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2450 Atwood Ave. in Madison, Father Michael Radowicz will preside. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church on Friday.
