Sun Prairie
Eleanor E. Weisensel, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at St Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 10, 1921, in Columbus and was the daughter of John and Minnie (Derr) Prosser. She married Ralph Weisensel on August 12, 1941, in Columbus. She loved working with Lawn and Garden Care. She worked for Ralph's Seed and Feed, Hanley Hardware and Dorn Hardware until she was 90 years old. She also enjoyed family, friends and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Joaquin) Vargas, Penny (Skip) LaValle both of Sun Prairie; 5 grandchildren, Carrie (Mathew) Morrell, Daniel Vargas, Don (Lori) LaValle, Jeff (Jenny) LaValle and Mike LaValle; 4 great grandchildren; Carter, Mason, Logan and Ryan and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph in 1999; 2 sisters, Lucille Freidel, Ruth Stransky; a brother Edward Prosser
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018, at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Donn Heiar will preside. Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St.in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.
