Dorothy Mae Wagner, age 86, died on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. She was born on May 14, 1931 to John and Leona (Doleshaw) Fredenberg and was one of nine children. She married Bernard "Poppy" Wagner on May 3, 1950. Dorothy worked for General Casualty Insurance (QBE) for 20 years and part-time at Herremans Supper Club for close to 30 years. She loved working with people and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching WWF wrestling. She is survived by her five children, Linda (Jim) Chadwick of Cottage Grove, Mary Wagner of Sun Prairie, Douglas Wagner of Sun Prairie, Daniel (Cynthia) Wagner of Columbus, and Dale Wagner of Sun Prairie; two brothers, Henry (Pat) Fredenberg of McFarland and John Fredenberg of Sun Prairie; two sisters, Marjorie Drogsvold of Tomahawk and Ruth Rahn of Sun Prairie; four grandchildren, Holly Zimmerman (Michael Hutchings) of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Chad Zimmerman of Sun Prairie, Charisma Chadwick of Fitchburg, and Angie Wagner (Jason Krebs) of Sun Prairie; one great granddaughter, Shaianne Olson; one great grandson Jacob Krebs; and many other nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband "Poppy"; daughter Cynthia Grob; two brothers, Glenn and Bill; two sisters, Lois Benish and Eleanor Kowski.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 232 Windsor St. in Sun Prairie with Pastor Shaun Arndt presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday. Entombment will be held at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
